The Wanderer Paintings is the first monograph dedicated to Nel Aerts’ painting practice. This richly illustrated publication includes essays by Valerie Verhack, curator of the artist’s current exhibition at M Leuven, and Dutch art critic and historian Dominic van den Boogerd, as well as shorter texts by her friends on paintings of their choice. Reference images contextualize Aerts’ work and a catalogue raisonné of her paintings from 2011 up to the present day closes the book. The limited edition of 25 unique slipcases are adorned with a wood burned selfportrait.
